How to donate food & essentials

How to donate food & essentials

Donations of food can be placed at collection points with our retail partners in Sherborne including Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, The Cooperative Westbridge Park, Hunt’s Food Hall (on the A30), and further afield at Dike & Son of Stalbridge.

You’ll also find donation baskets at Sherborne Abbey, Cheap Street Church, and in various other parish churches, community and workplace groups and schools.

If your community group does not have a collection point for the food bank we would welcome you to set one up.

Bank the food app logo

Sherborne Food Bank is signed up to Bank the Food – an app that’s easy to use and sends an alert to your smartphone when you shop at one of our partner donation supermarkets.

The app enables you to donate smartly, to buy items that we really need to make balanced emergency food parcels, then simply drop into the collection point in store.

Every donation, big or small, makes a difference.

Download the app for free,
it’s simple and quick to set up.

Available on the Apple App Store logo

We are an approved JustGiving Charity, the easiest way to make one-off or regular donations and to set up fundraising events. If you are a business and would like to talk to us about becoming a charity partner, then please get in touch.

You may also see us at local events when we welcome cash or card donations. If you prefer to donate directly by BACS, these are our details (please email us to advise of your donation, unless you prefer to remain anonymous):
